Well Greg exchanged the part and now the car works perfectly but we just decided we are done throwing money into an older car. So... We bought a Mini Van!! LOL and I'm super happy with it!
I am not officially a mini van mommy and I don't even care what others think because it's so practical, easy to load kids into, had a TV, the doors open with a button, and the boys LOVE it too!!
Greg will keep driving our Hylander since its paid off and more dependable. And this beauty is mine to drive around in :)
I call 2 cars breaking in one day a double bed thing but two more bad things happened. The next event was a trip to the ER right at bedtime with our H! He was running around being crazy and tripped and fell into the railing of our stairs. He got a nice little gash in his head which I knew immediately needed stitches based on how deep it was.
This picture doesn't show it too well because the blood kept pooling I'm the gap.
Derek was already in bed sleeping because he just started fevering a few hours before this happened. Thankfully Greg's mom and the boys "Nana" came to the rescue and stayed at our Josie with or sleeping boy so we could both be with H at the hospital.
The hospital was surprisingly the raider part. H was pretty calm the entire ER visit.
He wouldn't let go of these gross salt water taffys while we were there. They were dirty and had drops of blood on them. We luckily had some cash in the car and bought candy and soda in the vending machine and this finally gave me the chance to throw away the taffy.
They wrapped his head and put numbing ointment on his head. He allowed the nurse to do this twice without complaint. He was tired and slap happy and we started goofing off while waiting the 40-50 min it takes for the double numbing to take affect.
It's hard to tell from this picture but the stitches are in!! We didn't need any sedation at all! He was so tired (probably because it was past midnight) and while he laid down I just talked to him about our new Van and he loves it so much, it kept him side tracked for all 5 stitches.
I'm sure the process of getting the stitches removed will Not go so smoothly.
Ok.. Well the 3rd negative thing actually started happening before we left for the ER. Remember how I said D was fevering?? Well guess what sickness that was the start of?? Hand, foot, and mouth. And let me tell you... It is horrible. A few days into it H got it too. Poor kids have been miserable with high fevers, blisters, and hives everywhere. I can't woad for this to be over. My kids always seem to pick this stuff up at nursery or play dates.
Here's to hoping for good things coming our way.
Though there have been a few bad things.. There is still so much food that comes from bad. 1. We have a new car! 2. I got to see my son be so brave. 3. I got lots of fever cuddles!!
