H and his health journey

As many of you know H has had a vomiting issue since infancy. We thought it would get better but it seemed to get worse with solids. We finally got the pediatrician to recommend us to a GI doctor and I also had them refer us to a allergist.
We went to the allergist first to find out that he has an egg and tree nut allergy. He doesn't break out in rashes or anything like that so we assumed there had to be an additional issue. After seeing the GI doctor we had an X-ray done of his upper GI tract to find that his anatomy is normal (good news) then he was put on a stomach relaxer and an acid reducer to protect his esophagus and prepare him for a colonoscopy and endoscopy.
4 weeks after the GI doctor appoitment we headed up to primary's for his surgical procedure.
We had to check in at 6am so we were up by 430. Needles to say pjs were what we arrived in (the boys anyway) H enjoyed the toys.
Since he was on laxitves for 2 days he quickly needed a clothes change after arriving since he leaked poop in his pjs. He was cleaned out after that last diaper (sorry if tmi)
Only daddy can make this boy smile this way.
He loves his Dad so much!
It was soon time for us to let them take him back. Since we brought baby D, ony one of us could go back with him. Of course or was me! I had to help hold him down on the bed while they put the mask on to put him to sleep. It was one of the hardest moments of my life watching this take place. H kicked and fought and shortly after taking deep angry gasps he fluttered his eyes and fell asleep. I of course lost it after this. It was such a volnerable moment for me. I felt like I could potentially be saying goodbye for a long time (even though the risks are so low) it's still a risk. He's my baby!
The procedure was quick and as soon as he was waking I ran to the post op room where he was screaming at the nurses for mom. He calmed down as soon as I held him. The calm didn't last long because then he wanted dad and he still felt out of place and I'm sure his throat was sore too. He had what they called (blue scrub syndrome) where he cried anytime someone with scrubs comes around. He was okay when I carried him to recovery. I think because he assumed I was taking him home. He was not happy when we went to the recovery room. Thankfully the movie Frozen was on and it helped a tiny bit with his crying. The best was when G joined us and H dove into his arms and cuddled him.
G looks stoned or crazy but this shows how much he loves his dad. He wanted both his parents in the room with him.
We finally got him to drink some slushie and as soon as he kept it down for the few minutes they discharged us and we headed home.
I kept checking on him while he napped. This is how cute he was sleeping! He was konked!

Results came in the next day and confirmed that allergies are causing him to have esophagitis. So here we are.. Doing are best to cut out eggs completely from his diet and anythif containing tree nuts as well. Wish us luck! I need a healthy boy!
